What do I want to be/do/see when I grow up?

At my age, you'd think I would know by now that, while I don't have my whole life in front of me anymore, I am pretty well set on what I can do for the rest of my career.

What a depressing thought.

I still like to dream, to hope, to seek. There's so many things I think I would enjoy doing in my life for career choices - teacher, writer, archaeologist, researcher, political science, international business, historian, stock market investor, entrepreneur, genealogist, travel guide, psychologist - the list goes on.

There's so much left for me to learn - how to play the ukulele, learn French (again), Spanish, and Hawaiian, learn how the whole financial system of our country and world really works, master html and web design, get something published, learn how to draw, actually figure out how not to kill a plant, or how not to always lose at gambling.

Places I want to see - France, Italy, Ireland, Scotland, England, The Bahamas, Fiji, Thailand, New York City, and a "plethora" (I love that word - makes me giggle) of other towns & cities on the mainland. I'd love to spend a summer poking around in Washington DC, New England, the Northwest US.

I want my husband and all of our kids to be able to dream big and achieve all that they want, and find happiness and contentment.

And at this moment, watching the little bits of rain come down, with the feel of fall in the air here, what I really want is a triple-shot large latte.

Aloha to all!
